Curriculum

As LSIS stands firm in building a culture of academic excellence among its students, its curricular offerings are over and above the requirements of the Department of Education’s K+12 Curriculum of the Philippines. The academic program standards target both the local and international settings. It offers the following levels:

  • Offered to four-year-olds with the goal of setting young children’s minds to be ready to mingle with other children of their age and with adults outside their families

  • Offered to five-year-olds with the goal of setting minds and hearts of little children to be ready for a more structured set-up in Grade One measured by the School Readiness Test which is administered before the end of the school year

  • Covers first to sixth grades of the elementary curriculum with the ultimate goal of setting directions for higher levels of learning – building and enhancing the necessary competencies towards critical thinking and making children good decision-makers and responsible citizens

  • Covers four (4) years of Junior High School and two (2) years of Senior High School; it primarily aims to give ample preparation to students to be well-equipped for entry to college institutions in both local and international settings.

English is the only medium of instruction in the classes (except during Filipino class periods) and is also the primary medium of communication among students and other members of the school community.
